American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring cardiac telemetry experience, Epic proficiency, and a valid NC or compact RN license.

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
-
Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
-
Weekend rotation required
-
Holiday rotation required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Patient ratio of 1:5 (PCU standard)

Cardiac telemetry monitoring, management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
-
Peripheral line care/management and PICC line management
-
Titration of drips
-
Epic EMR experience is mandatory
-
Floating between campuses required as needed
-
Active NC or compact RN license required
-
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
-
Cardiac telemetry experience required
-
Experience with PCU patient ratios (1:5) required
-
Proficiency in management and interpretation of dysrhythmias

Experience with peripheral line care/management and PICC line management
-
Experience titrating drips
-
Epic EMR experience mandatory

2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Copy of driver's license required for consideration

All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance — two attempts are allowed; study materials are not provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
-
Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
