Job Summary

Duties
- Safely operate passenger vehicles such as shuttle vans, passenger vans, or personal vehicles to transport clients within local routes
- Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and securing mobility devices like wheelchairs or walkers
- Ensure adherence to all traffic regulations, state transportation laws, and safety protocols during every trip
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide friendly, professional service
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks including fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes, and cleanliness to ensure optimal operation
- Use GPS navigation systems to follow designated routes efficiently and arrive on time
- Handle heavy lifting safely when assisting with wheelchair loading/unloading or other mobility equipment
Requirements
- Prior experience as a delivery driver, shuttle driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or in medical transportation is highly desirable
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating passenger vans or bus driving is preferred
- Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes for efficient trip planning
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and effectively in accordance with safety standards
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse clients
- Knowledge of traffic regulations, state transportation laws, and passenger vehicle operation standards
- Experience in maintaining vehicles or basic troubleshooting is a plus
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and assist passengers with mobility challenges confidently
