We are a local dairy/frozen food-service distributor looking for a driver. We are looking for a responsible person to distribute products promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional and cost effective manner while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction. We are looking for a dependable team player who has great interpersonal skills. This job may involve repetitive heavy lifting and there also may be long hours involved sometimes. We are looking for a team player to fit in and join our team of existing long term employees.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and in various routes/areas in the greater Buffalo area and the surrounding areas.
- Follow routes and time schedule
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
- Provide excellent services and resolve customer complaints when they arise in a professional manner
-Collect payments
- Inform customers about new products and services
- Complete logs and reports
- Follow DOT regulations and OSHA safety standards
- Comfortable with a handcart and doing warehouse work
- Team player mentality
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a food service, DSD or related delivery driver in a commercial box truck.
- clean valid professional drivers license.
- Good driving record
- Ability to safely operate refrigerated straight truck in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- High school education or equivalent preferred
