Job Summary
Commerce HVAC Services is seeking an experienced Lead Commercial HVAC Service Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and system replacements/installations for commercial HVAC systems throughout Brevard County.
This role is ideal for an experienced technician who can independently diagnose commercial HVAC systems, make sound repair decisions in the field, take ownership of service calls from start to finish, and help mentor the next generation of technicians as our company grows.
You'll be trusted to diagnose problems accurately, recommend appropriate repairs, and represent Commerce HVAC Services professionally on every call.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on commercial HVAC systems
- Independently diagnose electrical, refrigeration, airflow, controls, and mechanical issues
- Service and repair commercial rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, package units, heat pumps, and related equipment
- Perform commercial equipment replacements and new system installations
- Execute clean, code-compliant work with attention to detail
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and applicable codes
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal team regarding equipment condition and recommendations
- Complete accurate job documentation using ServiceTitan
- Assist with training and mentoring developing technicians
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC service experience
- Experience independently servicing and troubleshooting commercial rooftop units (RTUs) is required
- Strong understanding of commercial split systems and packaged equipment
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred)
- Strong electrical and refrigeration diagnostic skills
- Ability to confidently diagnose commercial HVAC equipment and make sound repair decisions in the field
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10 Certification is a plus (company will provide if needed)
