Client Accountant, Global Capital Markets

Job Summary
We are seeking a Client Accountant to join CSC’s Global Capital Markets team in Jersey. In this role, you will support a portfolio of SPVs and structures administered by our Jersey office, preparing statutory accounts and client reporting while partnering closely with administrators and external service providers. You will help ensure high-quality financial records, well-documented working papers, and timely audit delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant studying toward a professional qualification to build capital markets and SPV accounting experience in Jersey.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual financial statements under UK GAAP and/or IFRS, including high-quality working papers and audit coordination
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping and general ledger records for multiple client entities, including posting journals and completing reconciliations
- Produce ad hoc and periodic reporting (e.g., cash reconciliations, audit confirmations, loan schedules, investor reporting)
- Partner with the administration teams to support transaction set-up and ongoing day-to-day SPV operations
- Liaise with external parties such as auditors, trustees, custodians, and investment advisers to support reporting and audit requirements
- Act as a point of contact for clients on routine accounting matters, escalating issues appropriately to senior team members
- Maintain timely and accurate time recording to support client billing and internal reporting
Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting practical ways to improve controls, quality, and efficiency across daily tasks

Required Qualifications
- Experience delivering client service in an accounting, finance, or professional services environment
- Experience in capital markets accounting, SPV accounting, fund accounting, or financial services in Jersey (or a similar jurisdiction)
- Working knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS, including preparation of accounts and supporting schedules
- Actively studying toward (or recently started) a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent)
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently, prioritise deadlines, and apply sound judgement with attention to detail
Clear, professional communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external providers

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with multi-jurisdiction structures (e.g., Jersey, Ireland, Cayman, Bahrain) and related reporting expectations
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) or similar accounting systems
Prior experience supporting audit delivery for a portfolio of entities
