Duties
- Greet guests warmly, manage reservations using OpenTable, and seat guests efficiently to optimize flow and satisfaction
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, cocktails, and menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle sales transactions seamlessly, process payments accurately, and manage cash handling with integrity
- Assist with food preparation, food safety compliance, sanitation standards, and food handling procedures to maintain high-quality service standards
- Support bartenders with cocktail preparation and spirits knowledge to deliver exceptional beverage service
- Buss tables promptly, assist with host/hostess duties when needed, and ensure cleanliness in dining areas for a welcoming environment
- Engage with guests proactively to foster guest relations, address inquiries or concerns promptly, and promote repeat business
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems ; experience with OpenTable is preferred
- Demonstrated culinary experience along with spirits and wine knowledge to elevate guest interactions
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and strong guest relations abilities
- Ability to handle food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures diligently
- Experience in bartending or cocktail preparation is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for cashiering and sales transaction processing; attention to detail is essential
- Previous roles involving serving, bussing, hosting/hostessing, or food industry experience are highly valued
