Position Summary
Capital Dental Group is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant with a strong foundation in accounting and bookkeeping, along with excellent computer and software skills. This individual will play a key role in managing the financial operations of a healthcare organization with approximately $24 million in annual revenue.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, highly organized, and enjoys identifying opportunities to improve processes through technology and streamlined workflows. We are looking for someone who embraces continuous learning, adapts to change, and takes ownership of their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger by recording accurate journal entries and completing account reconciliations
- Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and collections
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal accounting policies
- Utilize accounting software to record financial transactions and generate reports
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
- Support tax preparation and maintain organized documentation for audits
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, automate workflows, and increase operational efficiency
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent accounting experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including:
- Double-entry accounting
- Debits and credits
- Journal entries
- General ledger maintenance
- Account reconciliations
- Experience with payroll processing
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Sage, Xero, or similar ERP/accounting platforms
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred
- Previous experience in healthcare accounting
- Knowledge of payroll tax reporting and government compliance requirements
- Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting
- Familiarity with process improvement, automation, or accounting system optimization
- Experience supporting annual audits and tax preparation

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
