Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools efficiently and safely
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure perfect crusts, toppings, and cheese melt
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors or toppings based on customer preferences and trends
- Manage high-volume production during peak hours while maintaining quality standards
- Follow all food handling guidelines and safety protocols to ensure a safe dining environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, restaurant service, or culinary environments, especially with pizza or similar dishes
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food production techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food handling
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen setting
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in high-volume environments
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and recipe adherence
- Excellent teamwork skills with a passion for delivering exceptional food service experiences
