Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapist (licensed or eligible) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide specialized trauma-focused therapy using EMDR techniques to clients of diverse backgrounds, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help individuals recover from PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. EMDR Therapist Duties
- Conduct intake assessments to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans incorporating EMDR therapy.
- Deliver individual therapy sessions utilizing EMDR techniques to facilitate trauma processing and emotional healing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with complex mental health conditions, including those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Maintain accurate medical records, document therapy sessions in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and utilize ICD-10 coding for diagnosis documentation.
- Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, providing immediate support during acute episodes or behavioral crises.
- Provide psychoeducation to clients and families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and recovery processes.
EMDR Therapist Experience
- Proven experience delivering psychotherapy services with a focus on trauma treatment using EMDR techniques.
- Strong background in working with children, adolescents, or individuals with disabilities within outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Familiarity with crisis management protocols, behavior management strategies, and social work principles.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical documentation standards such as HIPAA compliance.
- Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations and assessments related to PTSD care, grief counseling, addiction counseling, or psychodynamic therapy is highly desirable.
- Telehealth experience is required for providing remote therapy sessions effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating excellent patient care skills in clinical settings such as pediatrics or geriatrics. Pay: $100.00 - $125.00 per hour
