Shift Lead – Firehouse Subs

Pay: $19.00–$22.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Firehouse Subs is looking for energetic, dependable, and customer-focused Shift Leads to help lead our restaurant during both morning and evening shifts. If you're passionate about delivering outstanding guest service, leading by example, and developing a strong team, we'd love to meet you!
Position Summary
As a Shift Lead, you will assist the General Manager and Assistant Manager with the daily operation of the restaurant. You will lead your team during each shift, ensure excellent customer service, maintain food safety standards, and help create a positive, fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise team members during assigned shifts.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
- Coach, train, and motivate team members.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to Firehouse Subs standards.
- Maintain ServSafe food safety and sanitation standards.
- Open and/or close the restaurant following company procedures.
- Monitor food quality, product freshness, and inventory rotation (FIFO).
- Ensure cleanliness of the dining room, kitchen, prep areas, and restrooms.
- Assist with inventory, receiving deliveries, and stocking.
- Handle cash, POS transactions, refunds, and deposits accurately.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Promote teamwork and maintain a positive workplace culture.
- Follow all company policies and Washington State health regulations.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Current ServSafe Manager Certification required.
- Valid Washington State Food Worker Card required.
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and have reliable transportation.
