Event Operations Field Research Assistant – UGA Football

Job Description
A private event and tailgating company is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to assist with field research during select University of Georgia home football weekends in Athens.
This is a simple, short-term assignment involving brief visits to several designated parking and tailgating areas to document how event spaces are being utilized.
Each assignment includes a short check on Friday afternoon and another on Saturday morning, with less than one hour of total work expected per weekend. Successful completion of both visits and submission of the requested information pays $125 per weekend.
Responsibilities
Must be available on 9/4-9/5 and 9/11-9/12
- Visit a predetermined list of parking and tailgating areas on Friday and Saturday morning
- Observe and estimate the amount of space being used by designated event/tailgating operators
- Document approximate tent counts, setup footprints, and areas of lot usage
- Take reference photos where permitted and appropriate
- Record observations using a simple form or template provided by our team
- Submit the requested information and photos after completing the assignment
- Follow all property rules, event policies, and applicable restrictions while completing observations
Compensation & Schedule
Pay: $125 per successfully completed weekend
Each weekend requires:
- One brief visit on Friday
- One brief visit on Saturday morning
- Less than 1 hour of total work between both visits
What We're Looking For
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently
- Smartphone with a working camera
- Ability to make reasonable visual estimates of space and setup sizes
- Ability to get around the UGA/Athens area efficiently
- Familiarity with Athens, UGA football, or local tailgating areas is a plus
Clear instructions, locations, and a reporting template will be provided before each assignment.
Pay: $125.00 per week
