We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Position Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting providers and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, preparing patients for examinations and procedures, maintaining accurate medical records, and performing administrative and clinical duties to keep the practice running efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and medication reconciliation.
- Prepare patients for examinations and in-office procedures.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during patient visits and procedures.
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Prepare and clean examination rooms and ensure clinical supplies are stocked.
- Administer injections and perform other clinical duties within scope of practice.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate referrals as needed.
- Process prescription refill requests and communicate with pharmacies.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service while answering patient questions and addressing concerns.
- Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in a medical office is preferred; pain management, orthopedic, or specialty practice experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
