Heavy Civil Quality Control Manager
Job Overview:
B&K Construction is seeking an experienced and driven Heavy Civil Quality Control Manager to lead quality control operations on a multi-million-dollar project for the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The QC Manager will serve as the primary point of contact with USACE, oversee project quality control activities, coordinate with the project team and subcontractors, assist with construction surveying and layout, and ensure construction complies with the contract documents. The candidate will work closely with B&K Construction’s leadership, project managers, superintendents, field personnel, subcontractors, and the Government to ensure the project is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. Duties and Responsibilities:
· Serve as a project’s Quality Control Manager and primary QC point of contact with USACE.
· Lead and manage the project’s overall quality control program in accordance with the contract documents.
· Plan, coordinate, and monitor construction activities to ensure work is performed correctly.
· Maintain a strong working knowledge of USACE RMS system to include all the proper documentation.
· Review and interpret plans and specifications for complex heavy civil construction projects.
· Create, maintain, and organize project quality control documentation, daily reports, testing records, and other required project records.
· Assist with survey and layout using Trimble GPS to stake out construction activities.
· Participate in and lead meetings with USACE for progress meetings and meetings for the three quality control phases.
· Coordinate required testing, inspections, and documentation to verify that workmanship meet project specifications.
· Work closely with leadership, project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to proactively identify and resolve project issues.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 3 years of heavy civil construction experience is required.
· USACE project experience is highly recommended and preferred.
· Strong working knowledge of USACE quality control and RMS.
· Deep understanding of heavy civil construction contract documents.
· Ability to manage large scale and complex heavy civil construction projects.
· Effective communication skills.
· Experience with Trimble GPS and construction layout is preferred.
· Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software is preferred.

Pay: $79,290.17 - $81,707.41 per year
