Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform care plans.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and aseptic techniques.
- Manage complex clinical procedures such as catheterizations, suturing, tube feeding, and wound care with precision and attention to infection control standards.
- Monitor patients’ conditions continuously using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document care activities comprehensively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as ICU, emergency rooms, trauma centers, or hospital medicine units to coordinate patient treatment plans.
- Provide patient education on health management strategies including pain management, medication administration, and discharge planning.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical records for legal and quality assurance purposes.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of practice with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, ICU, emergency medicine, or post-acute care settings.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology essential for accurate patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner is highly preferred.
- Competency in performing advanced procedures including IV insertion, phlebotomy, sterile processing, and specimen collection/processing.
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and documentation standards aligned with NCQA standards.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or those requiring specialized memory or dementia care.
- Critical care experience such as ICU or trauma center background is desirable; experience in hospice & palliative medicine or occupational health is a plus.

Pay: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour
