EPIC Players Los Angeles is a neuroinclusive theater company empowering Autistic, Neurodivergent, and Disabled artists as professional performers. We produce mainstage productions, cabarets, original work, and inclusive theater classes across the LA area.
About the Role
EPIC LA is hiring an Access Coordinator to ensure our rehearsals, classes, and performances are welcoming, accessible, and responsive to the needs of our neurodivergent and disabled players and audience members. This role is central to EPIC LA's mission and works closely with directors, teaching artists, and production staff.
Responsibilities
- Conduct accessibility check-ins with players and identify individual accommodation needs
- Coordinate accommodations such as sensory breaks, visual schedules, and communication supports during rehearsals and performances
- Support teaching artists and directors with access-informed strategies in real time
- Liaise with venues on physical accessibility (seating, sensory-friendly performances, ASL interpretation, etc.)
- Help build and maintain access plans/documentation for each production and class
- Serve as a point of contact for players and families with access-related questions or concerns
Qualifications
- Experience supporting Autistic, Neurodivergent, and/or Disabled individuals (direct support, education, healthcare, or similar)
- Familiarity with sensory, communication, and behavioral support strategies
- Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced rehearsal/performance environment
- Background in theater or the arts a plus, not required
