Job Summary:
Laundry Attendants are responsible for providing excellent customer service, keeping the laundromat clean and tidy throughout the shift, processing wash‑dry‑fold orders, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, a friendly attitude, and the ability to stay productive and self‑directed during slower daytime periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with washers, dryers, and payment systems.
- Maintain a clean and orderly laundromat, including sweeping, mopping, wiping machines, and emptying trash.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues with professionalism.
- Accept cash/credit payments via POS system and follow proper cash‑handling procedures.
- Process wash‑and‑fold orders: sorting, washing, drying, folding, and packaging according to approved procedures.
- Monitor equipment and report any issues to the manager promptly.
- Restock detergents, softeners, and other laundry products.
- Enforce proper machine use, laundromat rules, and safety procedures.
- Stay organized, attentive, and proactive throughout the shift, maintaining a consistently clean and welcoming environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience required.
- Experience in laundry services, POS systems, or cash handling preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to stay productive and self‑directed during slower daytime periods.
- Friendly, professional attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move laundry bags; repetitive bending and lifting required.
- Comfortable engaging with customers and offering proactive assistance.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
