About the Role:
As a Meat Clerk, you are the face of our Meat Department. You will craft exceptional experiences for our food-loving customers while learning the ins and outs of high-quality food preparation.
Connecting with Customers

Warmly greet and guide guests at the counter, on the sales floor, and over the phone.

Share your growing product knowledge to help customers select the perfect cuts.

Recommend delicious pairings like specialty sauces, rubs, and fresh herbs.

Take custom special orders and help run exciting product demonstrations.
Crafting Quality Products

Package, weigh, wrap, price, and beautifully merchandise our premium products.

Dive into fun food production, including making burgers, chicken, sausage, and Smokehouse favorites.

Step up to prepare special orders when our Meat Cutters or Leads are away.
Behind-the-Scenes Excellence

Keep our inventory fresh by checking dates, rotating stock, and organizing coolers and freezers.

Maintain an immaculate department by sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and sanitizing machinery.

Safely operate tools (vacuum packers for minors; advanced slicers, saws, and grinders for ages 18+).

Help welcome and train entry-level team members as they join the department.

Requirements:
Required Skills & Abilities:

Ability to communicate clearly

Comfortable working with the public and greeting, speaking with, and assisting customers

Attention to detail, ensuring duties are completed correctly and on time

Must have weekend and holiday availability
Education & Experience:

Must be at least 18 years of age

High school education
Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, twisting, lifting, bending, and reaching

Occasional instances of pushing and pulling carts or pallets of product
-
Must be able to frequently lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds
-
Ability to push/pull up to 150 lbs
