Overview
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and mechanical maintenance. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems and equipment in various settings. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Prefer a Journeyman with 5+ years experience
- Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems and components, including ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC/R equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration units to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct field service calls to assess and resolve customer issues related to refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing and electrical to complete installations or repairs.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all work activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC/R field or related areas such as appliance repair or property maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design principles.
- Experience in construction or field service roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with air conditioning systems, boilers, and general equipment repair techniques.
- Ability to perform welding tasks as needed for repairs or installations.
- Valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour
