The Law Office of Michael S. Juarez, P.C. is an immigration law firm that is determined to provide the best quality of service to our clients. Our firm is seeking a bilingual (English and Spanish) paralegal who will contribute to a thriving immigration firm. We are looking to add a new team member who is ambitious and looking to grow within the firm. (Willing to Train)
Responsibilities
· Prepare packages for removal proceedings (EOIR)
· Prepare asylum, 42-B applications, and Family Court petitions (Special Immigrant Juveniles)
· Research and write memorandums of law and motions
· Assist with the translation of documents
· Meet with clients and prepare cases under the supervision of an attorney
· Prepare USCIS petitions (EAD, U-visa, VAWA, I-130)
· Prepare sworn statements
· Answer questions via email, text and on the phone
Qualifications
· 1-2 years’ experience preferred
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
· Detailed and deadline oriented.
· Ability to speak, read and write Spanish
· Notary license (preferred)
