We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse ( RN / LPN ) to join our Parkwood Skilled Nursing team Full Time. As part of our nursing team, you will provide wound care to residents in long-term and rehabilitiation environments. Our Wound Care Nurse is responsible in creating and maintaining a plan that results in successful wound care outcomes.
Wound Care Nurse ( RN / LPN ) - Qualifications:
- Current and valid Missouri RN/ LPN license.
- Prior experience in assessing and caring for wounds
- Assisted Living, Long Term Care/SNF or related experience a plus
- Experience with Alzheimer’s and dementia is a plus.
- Be a self-starter and able to work independently.
- Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members and staff.

Wound Care Nurse - RN / LPN Responsibilities:
- Proactively assess, treat and chart on wound care service and progress
- Chart on all residents under your care.
- Take on-call rotation with other nurse managers.
- Responsible for nursing care of all residents during his/her shift.
- Supervision of the nursing department and performance of staff assigned to his/her zone or hall including nursing assistants and medication aid.
- Provide education and guidance to the staff under your assigned area.
- Take verbal and written orders from medical personnel and transcribe, note and follow up on the orders and document the nursing notes.
- Continue a professional relationship with the medical professionals of the facility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
