American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of recent experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level I Trauma Center

Med/Surg Telemetry unit utilizing a team nursing model (RN, LPN, and Med Nurse), resulting in an effective patient ratio of approximately 1:6 or 1:7 per RN

Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

On-call required as needed

Weekend shifts required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered and must be discussed during the interview

Floating may occur between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius, though cross-campus floating is rare

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Active RN license — Tennessee (TN) or Compact (NLC) license required; no pending licensure accepted

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required (3+ years preferred)

Prior travel nursing experience required (at least one completed travel assignment)

Level I Trauma Center experience required

Large hospital experience required

ADN or higher required for this position

Driver's License required for consideration

First-time travelers are not accepted unless the candidate has 5+ years of specialty experience

Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO requests submitted after an offer is extended will not be considered

If Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's fall within the assignment period, candidates must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 of those holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked

Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
