Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and cost analyses to develop accurate project budgets.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to review project scope and refine estimates accordingly.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Apply strong construction estimating skills to evaluate labor, materials, equipment costs, and potential risks associated with each project.
- Support contract negotiations by reviewing terms related to scope of work, costs, and schedule commitments.
- Assist in cost control throughout the project lifecycle by monitoring budgets, tracking changes, and implementing value engineering solutions.
- Leverage construction site experience to anticipate logistical challenges and incorporate site-specific considerations into estimates.
- Utilize Bluebeam for markup reviews and document management to streamline communication across teams.

- Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial or heavy civil projects is essential; familiarity with large-scale construction projects is highly valued.

- Demonstrated proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid or similar tools; experience with Bluebeam is a plus.
- Solid understanding of cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and negotiation tactics within the construction industry.
- Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into field operations and logistical considerations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
