Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of our facilities and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Conduct welding repairs and perform residential painting tasks as needed to maintain facility aesthetics and safety standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and control systems to accurately diagnose problems.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed efficiently.
- Lead or support team efforts in manufacturing environments by supervising maintenance activities, training new team members, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer service excellence by minimizing downtime and optimizing equipment performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with a strong background in electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, welding techniques, and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking and inventory management.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical plans accurately.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively document work orders, collaborate with team members, and follow safety procedures.
- Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams is preferred but not mandatory; leadership qualities are highly valued.
- Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus for facility aesthetic upkeep.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy equipment, working at heights or confined spaces as required.
