Sacred Wisdom Foods is a family-owned company specializing in authentic Greek foods and premium imported products. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Prep Cook / Kitchen Assistant to support our weekly food production for farmers markets and retail sales.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food production according to recipes and procedures
- Portion, package, label, and organize prepared foods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen throughout production
- Wash dishes, utensils, equipment, and food preparation areas
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures
- Monitor ingredient inventory and notify management of shortages
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients
- Support kitchen operations as needed to ensure timely completion of production goals
- Perform additional kitchen and food preparation duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Food Handler Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Schedule
Part-time hours (on average 15-25 hours weekly), primarily evenings and early mornings, including weekend production shifts. Flexible scheduling may be available based on business needs.
Compensation
Hourly pay based on experience.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
