Midwest Gun Works, an industry leader in gun parts, shooting accessories and gunsmithing since 1997, is currently seeking a purchasing agent to join our growing team. Do you have a passion for firearms and for discovering the next hot item? Do you thrive when handing multiple projects at once? We are seeking a purchasing agent to manage inventory of existing items, source new parts and accessories, and develop new relationships with industry partners. Strong attention to detail, time management, organizational and communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of purchasing including, but not limited to, managing inventory levels, communicating with suppliers and sourcing new product.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
- Attend industry trade shows.
- Stay up to date on industry news and laws.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years' experience
- Bachelor's / Undergraduate Degree
- Passion for the firearms and outdoor industry.
- Strong attention to detail and robust communication skills.
- Proactive problem-solving approach with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical thinking and collaborative skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel and Outlook).
