Position Overview
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, follow-through, and results. The Dental Billing Specialist will oversee all aspects of billing and collections, ensuring timely payments, clean claims, and a seamless financial experience for patients.
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Collections (Primary Focus)
- Submit, track, and follow up on dental insurance claims with speed and accuracy
- Manage accounts receivable, including consistent follow-up on outstanding balances
- Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve denials, delays, and discrepancies
- Ensure accurate patient billing, invoicing, and payment processing
- Verify insurance benefits and maintain up-to-date patient financial records
Team Support & Collaboration
- Assist the front office team with patient billing questions as needed
- Provide support to maintain smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental billing, insurance claims, and patient accounts
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable and collections processes
- Excellent communication skills with a professional and patient-focused approach
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in accounting or related field is a plus
Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
