Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Non-Commercial Driver's License (NCL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various vehicles to transport passengers and goods efficiently across designated routes. Your energetic approach and commitment to excellent customer service will ensure a positive experience for all riders and clients. Whether shuttling employees, delivering packages, or providing specialized transportation services, your role is vital in maintaining smooth operations and fostering community trust.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate shuttle buses, delivery vans, and other authorized vehicles to transport passengers and cargo according to schedules and routes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, alighting, and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, brakes, and overall vehicle condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, passengers, and team members using clear verbal skills and radio communication devices.
- Assist with heavy lifting when loading or unloading cargo or luggage while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as cleaning the interior/exterior and reporting mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Non-Commercial Driver’s License (NCL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or similar roles involving passenger or cargo transportation.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact courteously with diverse customers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when handling cargo or luggage.
- Experience operating various types of vehicles including limousines, school buses, or paratransit vehicles is preferred.
- Demonstrated reliability with excellent punctuality and adherence to schedules. Pay: From $26.45 per hour
