Job Summary
Production Operators perform work that is required to manufacture shingle or rolled roofing products, along with related safety, housekeeping, shut down, cleanup, startup, and maintenance work.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for safe operation of equipment; preventing damage to equipment and preventing injuries
- Works safely
- Participates fully as a member of the crew during downtime and start-up, product changes, operational problems, and clean up.
- Assists in sheet breaks, threading machine and product changes.
- Will assist in clearing machine jams to keep product moving
- Responsible for basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of assigned equipment
- Completes product testing in accordance with product specification and records data on applicable sheets or computer systems. Keeps the supervisor informed of variations in the production process at all times.
- Maintains work area in neat and orderly condition per housekeeping procedures for the department
- Operates forklift in a safe and efficient manner
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Pay: Up to $27.00 per hour
