Job Overview
We are a women owned small independent retail and grooming store. We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, booking grooming appointments and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will play a crucial role in driving sales and maintaining the overall appearance of the store. We are opening our second location in Redmond. Should be open to do a split shift between the 2 stores. Must be 18+ years old.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Provide product demonstrations and educate customers on features and benefits to enhance their shopping experience.
- Engage in upselling techniques to increase sales and promote store promotions.
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are well-presented.
- Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when answering calls.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Helping with closing the store(sweeping and moping).
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as communication with diverse customers is essential.
- Strong communication skills are required to effectively engage with customers and team members.
