We are currently seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to join our team in Grand Ledge, Michigan. This position plays a key role in supporting branch operations, delivering exceptional customer service, developing staff, and assisting the Branch Manager in the overall leadership of the branch.
Position Summary
As an Assistant Branch Manager, you will assist with the effective management of the branch while ensuring customers receive outstanding service. You will help supervise frontline staff, mentor team members, promote bank products and services, and step into the Branch Manager role when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Branch Manager with the daily management of branch operations.
- Lead and support the branch’s customer service efforts, ensuring prompt, professional, and courteous service.
- Supervise and support Tellers and Customer Service Representatives (CSRs).
- Serve as Branch Manager in the Manager’s absence.
- Perform Teller and CSR duties as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify customer needs and recommend financial products and services that provide value.
- Support Eaton Community Bank’s Consultative Sales Culture by coaching and mentoring branch staff.
- Establish performance goals, conduct employee evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster teamwork, communication, and employee engagement.
- Independently handle complex customer transactions.
- Maintain a professional image and represent the bank positively at all times.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2–5 years of experience in retail banking, customer service, sales, or a related financial services environment.
Preferred
- Associate’s Degree in Business or a related field.
