BATTA Environmental Associates, Inc., a growing Delaware-based environmental consulting firm, is seeking an Environmental/Hazardous Materials Project Manager to support its work in asbestos, lead, and mold surveys, indoor air quality investigations, and soil/groundwater studies, primarily throughout the Philadelphia, South New Jersey, and Southeastern Pennsylvania region.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage environmental projects involving industrial hygiene, asbestos, lead paint, and other hazardous materials
- Oversee environmental surveys, reports, designs, and remediation management
- Perform and support field work, including surveys of commercial, residential, and other buildings for asbestos, lead paint, PCBs, and related hazards
- Work in varied field conditions, including roofs, ladders, and crawlspaces
- Manage and oversee field environmental staff
- Monitor asbestos abatement in accordance with EPA, OSHA, and AHERA regulations
- Collect samples for asbestos, lead, and mold analysis
- Develop reports, designs, and abatement specifications, including detailed logs and data summary tables
- Serve as a primary point of client contact and support ongoing client relationships
- Support business development efforts and proposal preparation
- Travel frequently throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland; a valid driver's license and good driving record are required
- Maintain flexibility for evening and weekend work as project needs require
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
- Certification in asbestos and lead paint inspection required
- Asbestos Building Inspector and Air Monitoring licenses strongly preferred
- Lead Paint Inspector and/or Risk Assessor license strongly preferred
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
- Proven experience managing and overseeing environmental projects
- Strong technical writing skills
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Asbestos Building Inspector and Air Monitoring Licenses highly recommended
Lead Paint Inspector and/or Risk Assessor License highly recommended
2 Year Minimum Experience Required
OSHA-40 Hour HAZWOPER Preferred
