Single Knife Log Slitter Operator – Warehouse Support
Brea, CA | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Custom Fabricating & Supplies (CFS) is growing, and we're looking for a dependable Single Knife Log Slitter Operator to join our team in Brea, CA. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with steady hours and a strong team culture.
This position primarily operates slitting equipment, and during machine downtime, you'll assist with warehouse/Shipping & Receiving duties to help keep operations running smoothly.
What You'll Do
Machine Operation (Primary)
- Set up and operate single knife log slitter machinery safely and efficiently
- Read job tickets and setup instructions
- Verify materials before processing
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Complete production paperwork and basic data entry
- Perform routine preventive maintenance
- Use measuring tools such as rulers, calipers, and micrometers
Warehouse Duties (During Downtime)
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments
- Pick, pack, and process customer orders
- Verify shipment quantities against packing slips and work orders
- Move materials using pallet jacks and warehouse equipment
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
What You Need to Succeed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills (including fractions and decimals)
- Basic computer skills
- Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
