Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting patient care within a hospital or acute care setting. This position requires a strong understanding of pharmacy operations, medication administration, and patient service to ensure the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications in accordance with established protocols.
- Perform medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
- Utilize aseptic techniques when compounding sterile preparations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications and pharmacy services.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support critical care initiatives and improve patient outcomes.
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or acute care environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with medication administration processes and critical care protocols.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
