We are seeking an experienced Defense & Geopolitical Risk Advisor to join our team as a remote contract research consultant. In this role, you will collaborate directly with our clients on project-based research initiatives, leveraging your background in policy analysis, defense strategy, or geopolitical risk to deliver evidence-based insights and written deliverables. This is a fully remote, flexible engagement ideal for professionals with experience in government, defense, think tanks, or related sectors, who wish to contribute to high-impact projects on a contract basis.
Duties
- Conduct independent, remote research and analysis of defense policy, geopolitical trends, and governance developments aligned with specific client project objectives.
- Collaborate with our consulting team and clients to define project scope, research priorities, and deliverable requirements.
- Prepare structured, evidence-based research reports, policy briefs, and analytical summaries on topics including international governance, cross-border risk mitigation, and strategic policy frameworks.
- Monitor open-source and publicly available information to synthesize timely, accurate insights that support client decision-making.
- Maintain clear documentation of research methodologies, sources, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility for each project.
- Engage in periodic virtual check-ins to discuss progress, align with client expectations, and refine research focus as needed.
- Ensure all work products are objective, well-documented, and compliant with ethical research standards, free of sensitive or classified information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in any relevant field.
- Hands-on experience in policy research, geopolitical or defense-related analysis, with proven ability to write professional reports and briefs.
- Capable of working remotely as an independent contractor, managing projects independently and meeting deadlines.
- Strong research skills to gather, assess and summarize public information effectively.
- Proficient in English with excellent written and communication skills.
- Adaptable to project-based work and changing requirements.
- Stable high-speed internet and a suitable home working space.
Pay: $6,000.00 - $10,000.00 per month
