Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC Machines (mills and lathes) to manufacture precision metal (mainly aluminum) components in a production environment. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure the highest quality standards are met while maintaining efficient production workflows. Duties
- Perform complete setups on CNC mills and lathes.
- Operate CNC machines throughout production runs.
- Load tooling, fixtures, and work offsets.
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
- Monitor part quality and make tool wear offsets as needed.
- Work with existing CNC programs.
- Maintain production efficiency while meeting quality standards.
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles.
Skills
- Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
- Experience machining aluminum components.
- Working knowledge of Mastercam is preferred (ability to work with existing programs; programming is not required).
- Ability to read blueprints and maintain close tolerances.
- Proficient with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive team attitude
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code for efficient machine operation.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation for accurate machining.
- Knowledge of machining tools, tooling setup, manual machining techniques, and power tools.
- Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus (but not required)
- Ability to interpret GD&T specifications to ensure tight tolerances are met consistently.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machine settings.
- Experience with CNC quality inspection processes to verify part accuracy against blueprints.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English at an intermediate level to understand work instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation.

Pay: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour
