American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric experience for a night shift position requiring flexibility across NICU, pediatric, and adult acute care settings.

Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (17:30–06:00), every other weekend
-
Rotation required across NICU, pediatric acute care, and adult acute care units
-
Patient population includes neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients across general care and intensive care settings
-
Cerner EMR; experience required
-
Holiday coverage required — candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

13-week contract

Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
-
Active Indiana (IN) or Compact state license required — license must be in hand at time of consideration

Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or RQI accepted)

Proficiency in airway management, vent management, ABGs, O2 therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer treatments, BiPAP, and CPAP
-
Medication administration experience required

SSN and DOB required for consideration

2 supervisor references required for consideration

Indiana residents are considered local candidates

Experience in trauma, teaching hospital, or ER settings is preferred

Cerner documentation experience is preferred

Experience with Hamilton G5 ventilator or Philips V60 is preferred

Experience with bronchoscopy procedures is preferred

COVID and flu vaccines are required
-
Candidates may float to an affiliate hospital nearby
-
Former permanent or PRN employees of the facility must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler

Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within this health system must take a mandatory consecutive break before resuming — out-of-state residents require a 90-day break and in-state residents require a 180-day break
