Job Summary
Pivot Prosthetics & Orthotics is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Prosthetic / Orthotic Assistant to join our Rapid City clinic. This position combines direct patient care with hands-on fabrication and modification of custom orthotic devices. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, interacting with patients, and learning specialized technical skills that improve people's mobility and quality of life.
No prior prosthetic and orthotic experience is required beyond the minimum qualifications. We provide comprehensive, on-the-job training in orthotic fitting, fabrication, patient care, and clinic procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in a healthcare-related or technical field with a desire to work directly with patients, or on track to graduate with Associate's degree with 18 months. Work may start while in the process of completing Associate's degree
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to work in both a clinical and fabrication environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare, rehabilitation, manufacturing, machining, woodworking, automotive, or another hands-on technical field
Mechanical aptitude and strong hand skills
Experience using shop tools or performing precision fabrication work
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Pay: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour
