Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Bilingual Customer Service Representative (Chinese/English) to join our retail pharmacy team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to learn pharmacy operations. The Customer Service/Pharmacy Technician Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while supporting pharmacists with daily workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and provide outstanding customer service.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with general pharmacy inquiries.
- Receive and process prescription drop-offs and refill requests.
- Enter prescription information accurately into the pharmacy system.
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information.
- Assist patients with prescription pick-up and checkout.
- Resolve basic customer concerns and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists and team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications Required
- Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) and English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Positive attitude and commitment to exceptional customer service.
Preferred
- Pharmacy Technician registration or willingness to obtain it (as required by state law).
- Previous retail, customer service, cashier, or healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
