Duties
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items, ensuring freshness and quality standards are met
- Cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes, presentation standards, and safety guidelines
- Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance and suggesting improvements for efficiency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety protocols
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring timely service
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally, providing excellent food service to guests or customers
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Required proven kitchen experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, especially in fine dining environments
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills, including knife skills and meal assembly techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Must be available to work late nights and weekends
