Sussex County Community College is looking to build a pool of qualified applicants to teach an in-person, on campus , Introduction to Sports Management course for the upcoming Spring 2027 semester.
Classes start on January 19 th , 2027 (end May, 2027).
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree or related degree in Business or related discipline with strong focus on sports management, sports marketing, and/or sports entertainment. 3+ years of applicable experience and prior teaching experience is strongly preferred.
The Introduction to Sports Management course will cover the following topics, in addition to topics listed in the master syllabus:
- Strategic and critical thinking, and the planning necessary for a successful sport organization.
- Risk related to the management of sports teams, and the impact risk has on organizations.
Organizational structure, practices, and issues that may exist in youth, high school, intercollegiate, and professional sport.

Prior teaching experience and knowledge of online instruction strongly preferred.
The Learning Management System (LMS) that we use is Canvas. Prior knowledge of Canvas or a similar learning platform is preferred.
NJ, NY, and PA residence preferred.
Availability to travel to campus when/if necessary.
Adjunct pay is based on $910 per credit hour.
