We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a 12-year-old pediatric patient in Snellville, Georgia. This position offers a consistent weekly schedule and the opportunity to provide individualized care in a home setting.
Pay Rate: $48.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 16 hours per week
- Two days per week
- Preferred summer schedule: Tuesday and Thursday, 9 AM – 5:00 PM
- Preferred school year schedule: 4 days/week, 4 hours/day, after school hours.
Patient Overview
- 12-year-old pediatric patient
- Diagnosis: Genetic disorder
- Requires full assistance with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), feeding tube, wheelchair bound
- Patient weighs over 75 lbs. but Hoyer lift will be available.
- Supportive family and home environment
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in the patient's home
- Receiving client from school bus during school year
- Medication administration and management
- Assist with all ADLs including bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, and mobility
- Perform prescribed Range of Motion (ROM) exercises
- Monitor patient condition and report changes as appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
- Communicate effectively with caregivers and clinical supervisors
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the patient
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR certification
- Reliable transportation
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to provide hands-on assistance with mobility and personal care
- Pediatric nursing experience preferred
- Experience caring for patients with seizure disorders preferred
