Overview
We are seeking a highly precise Quality Inspector to join our CNC machining facility. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting first-article, in-process, and final machined components to ensure they meet strict engineering tolerances. You will use precision measurement tools to audit parts against blueprints and use our ERP software to log production data, track non-conformances, and release approved lots. Your expertise will directly ensure our machined parts meet exact customer standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform Part Inspections: Conduct first-article, automated, and visual inspections on CNC milled and turned parts to identify surface defects or dimensional errors.
- Read Blueprints & GD&T: Interpret complex engineering drawings, machining blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols.
- Utilize Precision Tools: Measure tight tolerances using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Data Entry in ERP: Input and track all inspection results, scrap counts, and part approvals directly into the company’s ERP software.
- Manage Non-Conformance: Issue and document Corrective Action Reports (CAR) in the ERP system when parts fail to meet specifications, and physically segregate rejected materials.
- Calibrate Equipment: Verify that shop floor inspection tools and gauges are properly calibrated and maintained before use.

We work 5am-3:30pm, Monday through Thursday, so three and four day weekends are the norm for us.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
