Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
- Conduct detailed custodial tasks such as dusting, trash removal, window washing, and surface sanitization to uphold hygiene standards.
- Execute specialized floor care procedures including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to preserve flooring quality.
- Maintain cleanliness of industrial and commercial spaces by handling heavy-duty cleaning tasks efficiently.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for fixtures, lighting, or equipment to ensure a safe environment.
- Assist with residential painting projects when required, preparing surfaces and applying paint with precision.
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and general sanitation practices.
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or troubleshooting equipment issues is advantageous.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning supplies and equipment ensures efficient task completion.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of safety guidelines related to cleaning chemicals and equipment handling.
