DESCRIPTION
Location: St Petersburg, Florida Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00 to 5:00 (Thursday 10:00 to 6:00)
A premier Facial Plastic Surgeon in St Petersburg, Florida is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to circulate in the operating room during surgeries and assist with nonsurgical procedures during clinic. Patient safety, attention to detail in the OR, a strong knowledge of elective surgical procedures, and sterile technique are very important. We are a busy practice with a large patient base and a moderately paced surgical facility. Our focus is excellent patient care and patient satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patient intake, assessment, and documentation prior to treatments and /or surgical procedures
- Function as circulating RN for surgical cases
- Responsible for preparation, set up , coverage, and clean-up in OR
- Responsible for pre-op appointments; reviewing medical history, obtaining clearances; labs; review pre and post-op instructions
- Post care and recovery of patients after surgery
- Communication with doctor and/or provider regarding patient needs, concerns, and assessment and patient follow-up
- Support and assist Clinical Manager as needed in maintenance of required life safety logs and documentation
- Preparing supplies and room and cleaning pre and post treatments or procedures
- Assist doctor as needed in clinic as needed for non-surgical treatments and procedures
- Assist in proper maintenance and sterility of procedure equipment
- Patient scheduling and patient procedure follow-up
- Adhere to safety standards and precautions
- Assist with OR supplies and inventory
REQUIREMENTS
- Operating room experience; 4+ years required
- Clinical experience and a comprehensive knowledge of elective cosmetic procedures
- Nursing diploma and a valid unencumbered RN license; ACLS certification is required
- Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
- Familiar with office based facility accreditation requirements
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Cool tempered with calm and centered emotional approach
- Physical stamina through work day
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
