Responsibilities

- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently for transactions, including sales and returns
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers
- Assist customers with product selection, upselling relevant items to enhance their experience
- Manage stock levels by merchandising displays, stocking shelves, and organizing products for easy access
- Handle cashiering duties with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing information over the phone
- Support retail sales efforts through effective communication skills and engaging customer interactions
- Supervise or assist in supervising team members during busy periods, ensuring smooth operations
- Perform basic store maintenance tasks to uphold a clean, organized shopping environment
- Demonstrate initiative by independently resolving guest concerns and identifying operational needs without constant supervision
- Remain adaptable and resourceful in handling fast-paced situations and changing business demands
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Previous supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Ability to conduct product demos confidently and clearly explain features
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly phone etiquette and customer engagement
- Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math for accurate inventory management
- Background in grocery store or retail sales environments is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and remain self-sufficient in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking and resourcefulness with the ability to take initiative and multitask effectively
