The Director of Marketing is responsible for leading the vision, strategy, development, and execution of Relief Mental Health's marketing initiatives. This role oversees all aspects of marketing, branding, digital strategy, content, public relations, community engagement, website management, CRM, social media, and communications with a strong focus on patient acquisition, physician engagement, brand awareness, and organizational growth.
The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader who is passionate about data-driven marketing, creative storytelling, community engagement, and measurable results. This individual will work closely with executive leadership and collaborate across departments to ensure marketing efforts support Relief's mission and business objectives.
Position Summary
Marketing Strategy
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives.
Create annual and quarterly marketing plans focused on increasing patient volume, physician referrals, brand awareness, and market expansion.
Collaborate with executive leadership to establish marketing priorities, budgets, and measurable performance goals.
Drive accountability for marketing performance by achieving established KPIs, monitoring results, optimizing campaigns, and delivering regular executive reporting on marketing effectiveness, patient acquisition, and return on investment.
Manage the marketing budget while maximizing efficiency and return on investment.
Digital Marketing
Oversee the organization's digital marketing strategy in partnership with Relief's external marketing agency.
Manage the agency relationship by establishing priorities, communicating business objectives, and ensuring marketing initiatives align with organizational goals.
Hold the agency accountable for achieving established performance metrics, including patient acquisition, conversion rates, cost per acquisition, website traffic, and return on marketing investment.
Review campaign performance, analyze marketing data, and provide strategic direction to optimize digital marketing efforts.
Oversee website strategy, content, user experience, and online reputation management to ensure a consistent and engaging digital presence.
Evaluate agency performance and recommend new strategies, technologies, and opportunities to continuously improve results.
Brand and Content
Serve as the steward of the Relief Mental Health brand, ensuring consistency across all internal and external communications.
Oversee the development of patient education materials, provider communications, advertising campaigns, newsletters, blogs, videos, presentations, and promotional materials.
Direct creative development including photography, videography, graphic design, and digital assets.
Ensure all marketing materials align with Relief's brand standards and voice.
Community Marketing, Public Relations, & Communications
Develop and execute community marketing initiatives that strengthen Relief's presence within the communities we serve.
Plan, coordinate, and manage conferences, trade shows, educational seminars, sponsorships, networking events, health fairs, and community engagement opportunities.
Collaborate with Business Development to align marketing strategies with outreach initiatives, providing campaigns, educational content, events, and promotional materials that increase awareness, strengthen referral efforts, and support organizational growth.
Lead all public relations efforts, including press releases, media outreach, executive communications, crisis communications, and thought leadership initiatives.
Oversee communication strategies for new clinic openings, provider announcements, service launches, and other organizational initiatives.
Ensure consistent messaging across all public-facing communications.
Manage relationships with marketing agencies, media partners, vendors, and community organizations.
Social Media
Develop and execute social media strategies that educate, engage, and strengthen Relief's online presence.
Create meaningful, clinically accurate content that reflects Relief's mission and expertise.
Monitor trends, analytics, and audience engagement to continually improve performance.
Marketing Technology and CRM
Oversee CRM strategy, marketing automation, lead management, and patient engagement initiatives.
Improve marketing attribution, lead nurturing, and reporting across all acquisition channels.
Evaluate marketing technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and campaign performance.
Ensure marketing systems and communications remain HIPAA compliant.
Analytics and Performance
Monitor established marketing KPIs and performance reporting to ensure organizational goals are achieved. Analyze trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Present recommendations and performance updates to executive leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Business Development, Intake, Operations, Clinical Leadership, Recruiting, and Executive Leadership to support organizational initiatives.
Develop campaigns that strengthen provider relationships and increase patient engagement.
Support new clinic openings, service expansions, physician recruitment, and organizational growth initiatives.
Collaborate with clinical leaders to develop educational content that positions Relief Mental Health as a trusted leader in mental healthcare.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive marketing experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
Healthcare or behavioral health marketing experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success leading integrated marketing strategies across digital, community, and traditional marketing channels.
Strong knowledge of SEO, SEM, CRM systems, marketing automation, Google Analytics, paid media, and website management.
Experience managing marketing budgets and measuring campaign performance.
Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and communication skills.
Ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for improving access to mental healthcare.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience marketing behavioral health or specialty healthcare services.
Experience supporting multi-location healthcare organizations.
Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant marketing practices.
Experience managing public relations and community outreach initiatives.
