Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following recipe guidelines.
- Support meal assembly and presentation for various dietary or catering needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by regularly sanitizing work surfaces, storage areas, and equipment.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other small appliances.
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal prep and service activities seamlessly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food industry setting such as restaurant, catering, or dietary department preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and safe food handling practices.
- Basic culinary skills including knife techniques like slicing and portioning.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Experience with menu planning or meal prep is a plus but not required.
