Ponce Ground Service (PGSL) is seeking a Dispatch Supervisor to oversee daily transportation operations, lead our dispatch team, and ensure drivers and routes are managed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coach the dispatch team and oversee daily operations.
- Manage driver schedules, assignments, coverage, and route coordination.
- Monitor real-time operations and quickly resolve service or staffing issues.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, warehouse teams, and leadership.
- Monitor driver attendance, performance, HOS, and DOT compliance.
- Review dispatch activity, KPIs, and daily operational reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and service levels.
- Support driver onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Ensure company safety and operational policies are consistently followed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in transportation dispatch, logistics, fleet operations, or a related field.
- 3+ year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS).
- Proven ability to lead a team and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with dispatch/TMS software, GPS tracking, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to analyze operational data and improve performance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
