Responsibilities
- Provide a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and occupational health massages tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals
- Educate clients on massage benefits, post-treatment care, and self-care practices to support ongoing wellness
- Maintain accurate records of treatments administered, client progress, and relevant medical information using professional terminology
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure comfort, address questions, and adjust treatments as necessary
- Stay informed about the latest massage therapy techniques and integrate new methods into practice to enhance client outcomes
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including CPR certification and proper sanitation protocols
Requirements
- Valid massage therapy license or certification in accordance with local regulations
- Proven experience in various massage modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and occupational health massages
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to effectively assess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to pain management and patient assessment processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) or equivalent first aid training
- Prior experience working with diverse populations requiring specialized massage techniques such as prenatal or sports massage is preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
