We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Kitchen Team Member to join our Matt's Place Crew.

This role involves prepping and cooking while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and supporting the overall kitchen operations. Ideal candidates will have a passion for making excellent food, quality food handling skills, and experience in a fast-paced kitchen or working in an independent setting. This position offers an opportunity to work independently and to produce quality meals for our loyal Matt's Place Family.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes following established recipes and safety standards
- Handle food safely, including proper storage, sanitation, and hygiene practices
- Serve meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and customer service
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, dishes, workstations, and storage areas
- Support catering events and special meal requests as needed
- Follow all food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations in the kitchen
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dietary departments, food service, or culinary roles is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Skills in food handling, knife skills, meal preparation, and general kitchen operations
- Experience working in restaurants or the food industry is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
